The House of Commons rose at 3.20 this morning after seventeen hours’ sitting, of which sixteen were spent on te Pensions Bill debate. There were nineteen divisions. Chamberlain, on behalf of the onposition, promised to get tlic Bill through all stages by Tuesday. Mr Greenwood accepted the «nnpromise, the Liberals assenting. Mr Alexander said the Government decided to slow down the work at Singapore Base as much as possible pending the Five Power Conference. Mr Penny asked whether the Dominions had been consulted. Mr Alexander stated they had been informed,
