HAWERA PROTEST.

HAWERA, Nov. 12

A meeting of the Haw era branch of the Post and Telegraph Officers Association last evening passed the following resolution: —This meeting of Port and Telegraph officers emphatically protests against the action ol the members of Parliament in voting themselves £IOO while refusing to grant the rank and file of the officers of the service, numbers of whom up to years of age, are receiving less than £122 per annum and message boys of 18 years of age are receiving ,£57 per annum, and feel tins action is calculated to aggravate the already very real discontent in the service.
