TARIFF TRUCE. A COMING CONFERENCE. RUGBY, October 27. The British Government has informed the secretariat of the League of Nations that in view of the importance of the conference to be held at Geneva in February on the subject of a tariff holiday, Mr William Graham (President of the Board of Trade) will head the British delegation.

Mr Graham, interviewed last night, said the whole subject of the conference was to reduce proposals for a tariff truce to practical form, and it was fell that a better chance of success was assured by the personal attendance of a. Minister. Mr Graham added that he was optimistic as to the result of the conference. .
