SHOCKING CRIME
Jr MAN SET ON. FIRE. (Australian Press Association) ■ SYDNEY, October 27. After being attacked by tliievUs in Surrey Hills, Sydney, last night, Thomas Ivory, aged Iforty-four, a bricklayer, was set on five by his assaiMnts, who threw inflammable liquid over his clothes and face, ’ and then/ applied a match. A woman discovered tlid man’s plight and she subdued the burning clothes with a bucket of water. Ivory was terribly burned, and his dying depositions were taken. His watch, chain, money and boots were stolen. Ivory died overnight. No arrest has yet been made.
