[United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] (Received this dav at 1.30 p.m.V MONTREAL, Oct. 21. Addressing the Canadian Club, M,r MacDonald said the great call to the Empire was, ‘Hik'd your loins and face the future with bravery and energy.” If this is done no one could foretell its future. ‘He was not minimising the problems of Britain, but similar problems wore facing other nations. It is true certain industries were over-populated, but that did not mean the whole machine, must- be scrapped. Britain was renewing her youth and machine anti was prepared to go ahead,at fifty or sixty miles an hour. Different parts of the Empire must realise tha* they are one part or other of the unity. It must- he emphasised co-operation is important, and I want to see it developed. His own particular mission at present was in the cause, of peace. Peace has been preached, suggested and written, and now the time has come to put it into effect. There have been charges made that there are too many conversations between only two nations. That is not so and other nations had contributed and were contributing. It is a blessing to the world that President Hoover presides over the destinies of one of the greatest nations.
