TERI LOSES STAKE MONEY
(Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, Sept. 16. r !he A.J.O. Stewards found that the non-registration of the New Zealand horse leri was an oversight, but decided to deprive the owner of third place gained by Teri in the Canipsie Handicap at the Canterbury races on Sept. 7th. directing the prize money to be refunded.
The jockey, Cook, was exonerated for having allegedly broken his engagement to ride Crucis, cabled to-day. The trouble was due to a misunderstanding.
A bombshell was thrown among racing men to-day by the withdrawal of Kamulus from the Epsom Handicap, owing to an injury. The horse kicked Himself while running in the Tramway Handicap on Saturday, and his leg filled. The horse is being taken out of work.
CAIRNS'’ ESTATE. MELBOURNE, Sept. 16. The deceased jockey, H. Cairns’ estate, has been valued for probate at £1421.
