GISBORNE, September 3

The New Zealand Ladies’ Hockey Tournament . was advanced anotjier stage to-day, but several showers of rain marred the various games. In the A section Southland beat liusli by seven goals to one; Rotorua beat Auckland two to one; Ruahine beat South Canterbury four to nil. In the B section, Canterbsry beat Eastern Southland by three goals to two; Wellington beat Wairarapa two to one; Hawke’s Bay beat Auckland B seven to one.

On the aggregate play in section A Ruahine and Southland are equal with four wins out of four matches. In section B, Canterbury has won five out of five matches, and Wellington four out of four.
