A CLAIAI LAUGHED AT. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Gopyriglitj. (Received this day at 10.30. a.m.) LONDON,. Sept. 3. Concerning a cablegram from Christchurch stating that Messrs Aston and Atnck claim they have succeeded in transmitting base metals into gold, the imperial Research Institute experts, in an interview, merely laughed and said: "Somebody is pulling somebody’s leg. Such claims are not to be treated seriously.”
