HONOLULU, August 14
The Pan Pacific Surgical Conference has opened here. There are nine Australian and two New Zealand delegates among those present. Hawaiian Band played the National Anthems of all of the countries represented while costumed representatives of Pacific peoples marched in a procession carrying flags. President Riley AKlen,. of. tlie Chamber of Commerce; Presid Wallace Farrington, of the Pan-Pacific Union;. »Air Director. Alexander Ford welcomed, the delegates. Dr Ralph Worrall rtesponed for" the Australian College of. Surgeons.. Dr U. A. Osborne for the branch of the British Medical Association, and Dr Hardie Noal for New Zealand. The regular sessions start on Thursday. The delegates hope that permanent organisation in the Pacific will result from- the Conference.
