Mr H. S. Perry,, accomplished a-> new feat toMlayy -crossing the English Channel from. Dover., to Calais andback on- a motor-cycle. The time, taken was 7, hours 25 minutes. This time included 4 minutes spent in Calais harbour for lunch.- He was accompanied by a motor launch, and 'stopped twice on the outward journey for refreshments hut came back in a non-stop run.

The machine is provided with two canoe-shaped floats 16 feet' long, and Mr Perry stated that he had; no trouble whatever with it.
