STRIKERS REPLACED

AT SYDNEY TIMBER YARDS. (Australian Prbss Association) SYDNEY, Aligust 12. All of the timber yards in the Sydney metropolitan area are nb>. fully staffed, despite the daily picketing. There is trade depression, however, which is responsible for slackness at present in this industry, and the volunteer labour is more than sufficient for the requirements. The majority df volunteer workers at the yards are now quite efficient amongst the machines. Consequently, the strikers have lost their employment for all time. Police are still guarding all of the mills.
