DEPUTATION FROM ALLIANCE OF LABOUR. '• i (By Telegraph—Preei Association). - WELLINGTON, August 8. A' Reputation from the Alliance of Labour Annual Conference, waited on the Hon. W. A. Veitch, when the main points on which they considered alterations in the law were necessary, were enuiperated. Mr Veitch said they had raised some very-important, questions. They would realise that he could not make any definite promises in regard to amending the law 1 , either this session or next, hut he ; would give ‘the most careful land sympathetic consideration to everything they had represented to him. Me promised to discuss their representations .with his colleagues. The. matters submitted referred (chiefly to Compensation Act improvement. Speaking on behalf of the "Parliamentary Labour Party, Mr Fraser said he hoped they would see that 1 legislation was brought down. They Were getting tired of bringing these matters (forward year after year, and hoped they would get “the goods” this session.
