FRENCH CRUISER

ARRIVES AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, July 30. The French cruiser Tourville arrived from New Hebrides at 9 a.m. Without the assistance of a pilot or tug, Captain Abrial brought the cruiser into the harbour steaming fifteen knots and berthed her at Central Wharf, as gracefully as though she had been a pleasure yacht. Before the cruiser berthed she was boarded by the French Consul (Paul rierr) and the Harbourmaster. After the cruiser berthed, an official round of visits commenced, Hon. P. A. de la Perelle representing the Government.
