Air AI cLeod, outlining the impression of the tour at the Council meeting of tlie New South Wales Rugby Union, said Australian Rugby had improved and the present New Zealand team was not one whit inferior to past Dominion combinations. The manager added the game could not be played more cleanly in Australia, but lie struck a disconcerting note when he expressed the opinion that obstruction in various positions, such as line-outs, was a specalised business here. He assured delegates that ill' the system were tolerated the Australians would receive harsh treatment from New Zealand referees.
