BIG MOTOR MERGER
A BRITISH EFFORT.
fUnited Proas Association—By Electric / Telegraph—Copyright).
LONDON, July 26
The biggest, merger in the history of the British motor industry is in the process of formation, says the “ Daily Chronicle.” It will involve five large companies and two accessory-firms. • The prime objects are to fight foreign competition, and build a special com-
bined effort car for sa\e on overseas > markets. This probably will conform closely to modern American practice at a competitive price. It is expected that the merger will obtain the advantages of the multiple purchase of raw materials and a common sales depot.. It is probable that several existing British car models will be scrapped, this eliminating self competition.
