A' rainfall to-day broke a drought prevailing in Hong Kong for the past month, removing the greatest anxiety experienced in' the colony for many years, and obviating necessity for the continuation of extraordinary measures employed to provide the residents with water, including wholesale importation of water. Aeroplane efforts to burst hovering rainclouds were unsuccessful. ■
