A TRAGEDY
MOTHER DROWNS THREE CHILDREN AND HERSELF. (United Press Association—By Electric Teleg* uph—Copyright). (Received this day at 11.25. a.m.) LONDON, June 30. A terrible tragedy occurred at Banffshire, where Mrs MacDcnald, wife of a farm servant, walked from her horn l with her three children, aged four and three years, and ton months respectively, the latter in a perambulator, to a high bank overlooking a deep pool. There she threw the children one by one into the riven below, despite their screams, and then jumped in herself. ■ v A distracted farmer on the opposite side of the river saw the tragedy but was unable to intervene. ; Neighbours state that before starting on the two. and a-half mile # walk ito the river, the mother told them of ilier grim intention hut was not believed.
