At midnight the position was: South African Party 2o Nationalists 2 Labour. 3 (Including 1 Cresswellite) Labour has hsL three seats to the Couth tfrican Party, notably Turffontoin. where Sturroek, a prominent industrialist was returned, and the South African Party regained Langhsuite, where Christie (Chairman of Labour Council) was defeated.
