Early urban results largely increased the South African Party majorities. Duncan was re-elected for Yeoville, while a young advocate named Laurence captured the Salt River Cape Railway Works, constituency from Labour. SOME RESULTS. CAPETOWN, June 13. Colonel Cresswell was returned for Boydell. The Minister of Labour was defeated. At midnight the position was: South African Party 2o Nationalists 2 Labour. 3 (Including 1 Cresswellite) Labour has hsL three seats to the Couth tfrican Party, notably Turffontoin. where Sturroek, a prominent industrialist was returned, and the South African Party regained Langhsuite, where Christie (Chairman of Labour Council) was defeated.
