WASHINGTON, June 12. ,A formal note has been received from Franco, protesting against the proposal to increase the tariff on certain Frenoh products, which are being imported into United States. Tlie note has been delivered to ilic State !)r'v>rtment. Formal protests against the tariff have also been filed by Spain, Italy and Persia, while more than a dozen nations have forwarded material through the State Department for consideration by the House Ways and Means and Senate Finance Committees.
