The thieves gained entrance to the theatre by forcing open a window with a crowbar. The.y made their way to the stalls, behind the .stage, and into the dressing-rooms b3 T forcing doors with a crowbar. Most of the dressingrooms Avere thorouglilA’ ransacked, costumes, make-up material, and properties being found scattered over the floors. However, the burglars Avere evidently in a hurry, as the3 r overlooked several articles of considerable value. The office of the Theatre, situated at one side of the passage Avhich gives access to the stalls, escaped the visit. The manager, Air John Farrell, had some articles of value in his desk, but the takings from Saturday night had been removed to the hank earlier in the evening.
