CHRISTCHURCH, May 14
Judge Herdman granted an injuaction restraining the City Council from erecting conveniences in Cathedral Square and f r the removal of the existing tramway shelter. Four months was allowed for an appea 1.
The Cathedral Square judgment means not on y the prohibition of the erection of new conveniences, hut the removal of tli? exisiing tramway shelter o ;nvenieneps and tram rails.
Judge Herdman agrees that everything on the west side of the Square, except a one chain roadway, is <ai reserve, and must ho restored to its original state.
