The City Council, besides £25,000 already set apart for commercial works which are hung up by legal technicalities, has decided to raise a further loan of £20,000 for unemployed on which the Government .subsidy will be £12,000. This is only a part ol a scheme which can be started at once. A further £12.000 is included in the second .schedule to he dealt with latei.
