FOOTBALL.

N.Z. FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

ANNUAL REPORT.

"By Telegraph—Press Association ).

WELLINGTON, Alay 1

The annual report df the N.Z. Football Association (Soccer) states eighteen Associations are affiliated, with 513 teams, including 188 school teams. The report lays considerable, stijpss on financial matters, and the inability ol the Council !o pay travelling expenses in such competitions as the Chatham Cup. For the same reason it was impossible to send a school side to return the visit of the Australians, nor could the Council continue to donate footballs to schools. Proposals, however, will lie made this year for paying a visit to Australia. The Council’s debit balance is £317. Although it had asked the affiliated Associations to set aside a day last season for the raising of money to reduce the liability, the results were very disappointing.
