SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS
(To tbe Editor.)
Sir:—At the election of the Arahura Road School Committee last night, by householders, the Chairman was asked the question:—“Who was eligible to vote for members?”
The Chairman replied that every householder residing in the District, and every member of their families over 21 years of age was eligible for voting for a member of the Committee, together with all holders of Miners Rights, as mentioned in last Wednesday’s Guardian. 'Therefore all persons in the room over 21 years of age voted for the Coin. Gnittee whether they were householders jor not, ami one person in particular : was elected, who is neither an owner nor a tenant, nor the holder of a miner s.,ijit.
