SYDNEY, April 22,
Thirty-nine men appeared at the Darlingluir.st Court to-day, on summons. to show cause why they should not he restrained from acts in Lhe nature of a strike in connection with the timber workers’ trouble.
Crowds of timber strikers marched to the Court, hut they were not allowed to enter.
There was some demonstration against Judge Lukin of the Arbitration Court, hut the presence of police quietened the crowd. Dr Evatt, who appeared for the respondents, contended that the Court had no jurisdiction to deal with this charge. The case is proceeding.
