AUCKLAND RESULTS

AUCKLAND, April 21

Two Ivo aeroplanes took part in 1.1 it* A licSviancl Aero Chili’s first pageant at tlu* Mangerc Aerodrome to-day, tit.* attondanoc being ostimatod at twenty thousand. Excellent displays of formation flying, aerial drill, and trick Hying wore given, concluding with a realistic imitation of an attack on an ammunition dump defended by two aeroplanes and a detachment of infantry and machine guns. The results of the competition worn as follows: N.Z. Aerial Derby, over a triangular course of twelve miles:—First heat- Capt. J. Seabrook, first; Major Tv. Caldwell, second: F. D. Mill, third. Won by three lengths. Three others started. Second heat: Captain D. Darkness Ist, Capt. Ewan Dickson 2nd, Capt. J. C. Mercer 3rd. Won by two lengths. Five other started. Final: Capt. Sea-brook (2soc-s lidcp) first, Capt. Hark ness (set*) 2nd, Capt. Dickson (fisecs) 3rd. Won by two lengths. Time seven minutes. All of the competitors who were placed in the heats and in the final flew D.lf. Moths. Fly Past and Landing Competition: Cant. J. L. Findlay Ist, Major 0. A. C’owper 2nd,'Capt. T. W. White 3rd. All of these also flew Mot-hs.
