WELLINGTON, April 15

The returns of the quantity of eggs and egg-pulp in cold storage in the Dominion up to .March 31st are now available. In a report to the Minister 'lor Internal Affairs (Hon. Mr de la Perclle) the Government Statistician (.Mr Malcolm Fraser) reports:— North Island—Kggs in shell (dozen), 12,494; egg pulp (lb), 427,026; frozen whites (lh), 260; egg yolk (lb), nil. South Island—Kggs in shell (dozen), 58,474; egg pulp (lb), 299,761; frozen whites (lh), 800; egg yolk (lh), 160. For the Dominion—Eggs in shell (dozen), 70,968; egg pulp (lh), 726.787; frozen whites (lh), 1060; egg yolks (lh), 160.

The return for the previous collection (December 31st, 1928; was as follows :

North island—Kggs in shell (dozen), 12,666; egg pulp (lh), 573,537; frozen whites (lh), 422; egg yolk (lb), nil. South island—Kggs in shell (dozen). 47,752; egg pulp (lh), 374,944; 'frozen whites (lh), 1160; egg yolk (lh), 600. For the Dominion: —Kggs in shell (dozen), 60,418; egg pulp (lh), 948,481; frozen whites (lh), 1582; egg yolk (lh), (iIX).
