Two election pacts have been arranged in Lancashire. The Conservatives have decided to support tlie sitting Liberal, Mr Edwards; in Accrington and the Liberals are supporting the Conservative candidate against the sitting Labourite, Mr Greenwood, for Nelson and Colne.

The “Evening Standard’s” analysis of Labour Commoners election prophesies, shows optimists on the average expect Labour to have an absolute majority oT twenty-eight. The preponderance of forecasts, however, are oontent with making Labour the largest party, but dependent on Liberals to hold office.
