The report of the Commissioners of inland Ite.veiiiie for the year ended \fareh :11st. 1028, shows the number chargeable with income* tax in Croat Britain and North Ireland is two and a quarter millions. The {truss income under review was 2001 millions, the lowest since 1018-10, and is reduced by the exemption allowance to thirteen hundred millions. It will produce 228 millions, the lowest for ten years. Super-tax statistics for 1020-27 show 04,070 incomes exceeded two thousand and 47 exceeded one hundred thousand.
