SUBMARINE TRIP

NEW YORK, April 3
Sir H. Wilkins’ plane for his Arctic .submarine voyage is practically completed.
Following on a conference between Mr Ce-'U-ge Putnam and Commander Sloan Dannenbower. who is part owner of the only submarine in private hands. Commander Sloan Danneiihowcr said that tin* financial arrangements have nearly been completed, and be and Mr Simeon Lake were awaiting word from Sir H. Wilkins to prepare for the trip. New engines and batteries must be installed in the submarine which will be manned by ten men. with Commander Sloan Dannenbower in command.
Ho stated that there would be a two thousand mile trip from PointBarrow (Alaska.) 'bo Slpitzbergen Island. Bart of the time it would be beneath the ice. and tbe trip would take about thirty days.
