CHRISTCHURCH, April 4

The ski-b-t mi of a child, probably tlint of a .Maori, was found in a small -live near Sunnier yesterday. The Imiics are undoubtedly very old. for with tlieni was a skeleton of the now extinct -Maori dog, which was seen by Captain Cook when lie visited Ne> Zealand, and which was introduced to New Zealand about 500 years a.go. In the cave there also were some bird and fish hones, and the remains of a fire. The cave was one high up near the top of the cliff, and the entrance to it had been closed by windblown sand and earth.
