It is an elaboration of De La Ciorva’s autogyro with the difference that horizontally rotating vanes, instead o'f being operated by hand on the ground like a spinning top are driyen by small separate motors. Tiny air screws are attached to the vanes and it is thus expected the aeroplane will rise almost vertically. WOOL SALES POSTPONED. LONDON, March 11. The wool sales were postponed owing to the fog. TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND. (Received this day at 10.30. a.m.) LONDON March 11. The Executive of the British National Union has decided to organise a visit to New Zealand at the end of 15)29 or early in 1930. It has been assured of a welcome and full co-opera-tion of Dominion Government. A party of eighty will he drawn from all Dominions and will spend four or five weeks in New Zealand. Although the Australian Government’s promise of assistance is greatly appreciated, the proposed visit to the Commonwealth has been shelved mainly, on account ot time and expense. REPARATION EXPERTS. PLENARY SESSION OPENS. (British Official Wireless. RUGBY, March 11. The Committee of Experts on Reparations held a plenary session this morning in Paris and discussed the functions rtf the proposed new international bank for dealing with Reparation payments. A sub-committee, presided over by Lord Hevelstorke, one of the British delegates, was appointed to draw up a report regarding the functions of the new bank, especially in its relation to the exchange market and to measures to prevent heavy fluctuations in that market now. The sub-committee also considered how the new bank would stand in connection with central hanks of issue and what credits its resources would be able to hear, and lastly, how the capital rtf the new bank would be constituted.
