The increasing popularity of Rugby throughout Canada lias led to the proposal that the British, Dominions, and Cnnadiajfi teams compete in a tournament in connexion with tiltproposed Empire Games at Hamilton, Ontario, in August, 15)311. The .“Athletic News” understands that the Committee is inviting teams from Britain and the Dominions. It suggests that it. might be impossible lor British Rugby players to participate after their tour of Australia and New Zealand, unless the Rugby tournament is postponed, but it would be possible to raise a team of British University players and others as tho games have been iixed during the
holiday season. The “Athletic News” urges an Empire Soccer tournament should also be included.
