ATTACK ON CAMP

BY BLACK MARAUDERS. (Australian Press Association). (Received this day at 10 a.m.) NEWCASTLE, March 12. A Darwin message states the police in the northern territory have been mustered to deal with a maiauding expedition of wild Aborigines in the Carpentaria district. Fifty men irom a tribe surprised a camp and killed three men with stone axes and spears. They looted the camp and carried off all the women and girls. A missionary pursued the marauders who released the prisoners. He is threatened with an attack on the mission station.
