The police allege that was shot after a quarrel, the cause ol which is unknown. Neighbours heard the shot and rang for the police. Richardson made no attempt to evade arrest. Armstrong, who now lives in the city, was visiting Richardson’s house in Papamii when the affair occurred The arrested man’s mane is Richardson
Regarding the Papamii affair, Richardson appeared at the Alagistrate’s Court before Air Lawry this afternoon, and was formally charge?!. Accused was remanded till Alarcli 15th. Bail was not applied lor. Armstrong’s wounds are not serious. On exam illation at the hospital about a dozen pellets were discovered in his back, shoulder and neck. It is stated that lie had never seen Richardson prior to yesterday, and had never spoken to him before this morning’s incident.
