COLLEGE OF SURGEONS
CONVENTION IN SYDNEY. (Australian Press Association) (Received this day at 9. a.m.) SYDNEY, March 8. Follows and Members of the New College of Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand are holding a convention in Sydney this week to consider domestic. developments relating to the future work of the College in Australia and New Zealand. Sir George Syme, of Melbourne, is President, and representatives are present from all States of Australia and New Zealand. The deliberations of the private conference concludes on Saturday. One problem receiving attention is whether, in the interests of the higher training of surgeons, arrangements should he made with the English College of Surgeons to send an examiner to this country. Some of the speakers expressed the danger of Australian and New Zealand surgical practice becoming Americanised.
