A message fro in .Miami Reach says .Tack Dempsey has notified the police that he was shot at in his bedroom bv an unidentified man early in the morning. He sidestepped as the shot was fired and the bullet embedded itself in the wall. The unknown assailant disappeared as mysteriously as he came, and Dempsey was unable to offer any theory regarding .a. motive lor the attack. The police provided him with two bodyguards.
