AVHAKATANE, Feb. 25

As a result of a motor accident on Tancahia Road at midnight on Saturday, Lola Marin AA’arn, aged 19, lies dangerous injured in the AAhakatane Hospital. She was a passenger in the car going to Taneatua which was passed hy a motor lorry carrying’ merry-go-round gear from the Opotiki Show to AYliakatane. As the ear and the lorry passed an eleven foot pole on the lorry with a point at the end, penetrated six inches in the back of the girl, just underneath the shoulder blade inflicting a terrible wound. The patient is not expected to recover.
