ENGLISHMEN AT BATHURST. (Australian Press Association). (United Service) SYDNEY, Feb. 21. The Englishmen played a combined Western District team at Batlui-st today. Hie wicket was slow, owing to the recent rain and the sky was overcast. White captained the English team, which won the toss and Lav reel. Doctor Stack captained the Westerners, whose fielding was keen. England in the first innings made 31b. Ames scored 122, Tyltlcsloy 59. H'dibs 13, Rend re n 19, and White 42.
The Westerners in the first innings lost five wickets for thirteen. Larwood secured three wickets off four balls, and a fourth in his second over. Stumps were then drawn. SYDNEY, February 22. Bowling 'for Westerners, Campbell took 4 for 98, Stack, 2 for 52.
