In Fleet Street at two o’clock this morning the temperature was 22 degrees, compared with 20 degrees yesterday morning. ' At Croydon the temperature was only 14 degrees; at Dungencss it. was 11 degrees, while at Lymplie it was 10 degrees. ROWING ON FROZEN RIVER. ’ (Received this day at B.JIO. a.m.) LONDON, Fob. 15. Among the many-curious happenings due to frost, both Oxford and Cambridge lront race crews have been compelled' to migrate to new .waters. The Isis is covered with dangerous ice-floes. The Oxford crew therefore lias moved to Henley water. A tug cuts the course through the ice to enable the up to paddc upstream in the morning and downstream in the afternno' Cambridge crew has migrated to Goring-on-thc-Thames. Here the river is frozen in parts, so a, steel shield has heefl fitted on the bow to prevent damage from floating ice. The crew will remain at Henley and Goring until they go to Putney.
