A detailed report, resulting from the Prince’s visit to Northumberland and Durham, which was piepared for publication, lias not been published, and may never lie published. Copies have gone to the Departments concerned. Ti e contents proved most unpalatable to the Government. Revelations arising from the Prince of Wales tour barf caused.'consternation with the mine owners, with whom tiie Prince is at present unpopular. Even before he returned to London, a regular newspaper barrage was started with a view to discounting as far as possible the conditions of the miners, which the Prince’s tour put under a searchlight.
