DISPUTE SETTLED

HOSPITAL BOARD AND MINISTER (By Telegraph—Press Association). THAMES. Fob. 6. A long standing dispute between the Health Department- and the Thames Hospital Board, over the fniilding of a maternity annexe at Paeroa. was settled when the Minister of Health, Dr Valintine. and Mr Samuel. M.P.. had a conference with the Board, when the following resolution was passed which was acceptable to all parties:— ’ “That the Thames Hospital Board withdraws its opposition to the building of the Paeroa Hospital and agrees to pass progress payments for its erection and equipment. It also agrees to take over and run the same, provided the Minister of Health agiecs to pay the difference in the amount between the income and > expenditure of the hospital over and. above £3oo annually, which the last' mentioned amount the Board shall pay.”
