NEW DISTANCE KKCORD. (By Telegraph—Press Association) . AfASTEIITON, Jan. 22. Competing at the Alasterton Amateur Club’s annual meeting to-dav, Tom Oakley, the Alasterton craelc, broke his own New Zealand record for three miles by fourteen seconds, registering the wonderful time of 7 mins 54 3-5 secs. M, Gane, of Wellington, and Pearce, of Christchurch, were completely outclassed.
