BUSH FIRES
STILL RAGING. (Australian Press Assoeiation) vßoeeivcd this day at 10. 00. a.m.) SYDNEY, January 5. Husli fires are now raging over a wide front on the Blue Mountains. In the Southern Mountains and Woollondillv Valley large areas of bush country have been swept. Several townships are endangered by the great fires which are travelling towards Jenolan Caves checked h.v changing winds. The Caves house was saved. Fears are felt for the safety of two men who left Caves House on a walking tour to Picton. Passengers by tourist cars from .1 cnolau and the Blue Mountains had a thrilling experience travelling through the. bush (ires the greatest, part of the day. Men. women, and children are fighting desperately in Barallier to save their homes.
