DOMESTIC TRAGEDY
WOMAN'S THROAT (SASHED. (Australian Press Association) (United Service.) LAUNCESTON. January 4. A domestic tragedy occurred to-day. Ethel McGilvery, ‘29, was found murdered, with her throat gashed, in a house in Brisbane Street, Launceston. John Ivi 1 lain, known as “ Flash Jack.” was found near the police station with his throat cut. He was unable to speak, and wrote a statement inlorniing the police <f MeGiivcry’s plight. The police state Hint this woman had been living with Killain lor five years. There had been disputes about another man just arrived lroin \ ictoria.
