MR VKITCU’S INVESTIGATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Dee. 31. The Minister of Labour, flic Hon \\ . A. Witch, has not yet determined bis course- of action in regard to revision of the industrial laws. In reply to a question to-day. lie said lie was going into the matter carefully and was lionising and considering all available information. including the evidence and reports of the National Industrial Conference some months ago. After he bad time to go into the matter thoroughly lie would make recommendations to Cabinet, and a decision would lie arrived atwhen proper consideration bad been given to the policy to he pursued. In the circumstances lie was unable to say yet whether a second Industrial Conference would be called, cr whether the Government would take other action. In connection with tin* portfolio of Mines. Air Witch said lie was arranging to visit the mines on the AVest Coasl in order to bring himself in personal loach with those engaged in the industry and gain a practical idea ol the conditions prevailing. As soon as possible he would endeavour to arrange visits to other mining districts.
