This gift follow, d a Lon-don-New York telephone conversation wherein a prominent American friend of the Prince asked Sir Godfrey Thomas whether American contributions would bo regarded as an intrusion, ami was assured that Iseln from any source would be welcome. A draft was delivered a few boars afterwards, tbo spokesman preserving anonymity from tlie public.
