GAMING HOUSE
POLICE' RAIDS

CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 2
The bouse of Patrick Walsh, in Hills Load, was visited by the police, and as a result Walsh, Michael Cox and Albert Kliouri were arrested.
Walsh and Cox were charged with being bookmakers. Walsh was also charged with keeping a common gaming bouse and Cox was charged with assisting him. Both were remanded until .January Bth., a bail of £IOO being allowed.
Kliouri was charged with.being found without a awful excuse, on the promises nf a common gaining liou.se and was remanded till January Bth. He was allowed hail of £5.
As a result of another raid, Robert lames Watson Mitchell and his wile, Mary Mitchell, were charged with keeping a common gaming lions.'ev ivere remanded until January Bth. hail being allowed.
