John has a wife and three children, a home, and a joh; so has James, hut there’s a difference.

James is a happy, healthy man and a success; John is unhappy, nervy, and a lailuro. A big difference. John and • lames earn a limit the same salary; so it isn’t a matter of money, i hey are employed in the same office; so it isn’t a difierenee in business anxieties—

It’a difference in wives, and they can make all the difference in the world. James’s wife is a human spark : -John s is a human extinguisher. James's wife is an eneotirager; John’s is a discourager. James’s cottage is a home and a nest; John’s is a house and a boai garden.

James’s wife is a manager; John’s is i muddler.

James’s wife is a good cook; John is a had one.

James’s dinner is always done to a Ini'll, hot and ready; John’s is always raw or burnt or cold, and never ready, James’s wile has the children bathed and oil to bed before he comes home; John’s has three screaming, dirty, sticky, grimy children waiting up for him.
