Sir Robert is troubled about two things—first, -extermination of the whales: new, that the Norwegians earn too much money. He may. however, console himself that these calamities cannot occur at the same time, as many great and expensive expeditions will be unprofitable long before the amount of whales will be so heavily taxed that there will be any dan-

Owing to too strong British interests it may eventually be destroyed as a business for the Norwegians’and the English as well. It is true that Norway earned money on whaling, but it has been done •through work so bard that other nations neither would ll'U' could undeitit Ice it.
